A warm welcome awaits…
A warm welcome awaits …..
Rob and Jane Mathews welcome you to Broad Close Farm, Rackenford. A peaceful, relaxing escape to the countryside and an excellent base for exploring Devon. Just 25 minutes from Junction 27 of the M5.
We have two one-bedroom self-catering apartments available for weekly breaks and longer. Each apartment has its own walled or fenced private courtyard. The apartments are adjacent to our farmhouse set on a smallholding surrounded by 16 acres of pasture land. Animals kept on site include sheep, cattle and pigs which can be viewed by arrangement.
The village of Rackenford is within a five minute level walk. The village has a community shop run by volunteers and a thatched pub, The Stag Inn, rumoured to be the oldest in Devon. Unfortunately The Stag Inn is not always open so we recommend you check their website to check their expected opening times.
A great site for bird watching and enjoying the night skies and a fabulous base for exploring Devon.
We look forward to welcoming you…….

"we instantly got a feel for the place when we arrived, being treated so warmly by Jane who had left us eggs and milk for our arrival and baked us the most beautiful loaf of bread. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for Jane & Rob"
